Why generic job software fails heritage workshops

Generic job software makes a rug restorer talk like a courier depot: "tickets", "SKUs", "fulfilment". The workshop adapts to the software instead of the other way round — and half the trade's reality has nowhere to live.

The label-swap trap

Most "customisable" job systems let you rename a field and call it fit. But a restoration workshop's world isn't a renamed warehouse: a piece has an owner and a history; work moves through skilled stages; valuation and consignment are part of the same relationship as cleaning. When the software can't say these things, staff stop recording them.

What a vertical preset actually is

In Vestige

The operating standard underneath

Presets change the language, not the discipline. Every tenant's data is scoped to that tenant, every action lands in an audit log, and the platform runs on the same standard as the rest of the Zelicra suite. Vestige runs standalone today and connects to SIOS, the Zelicra command deck, as the suite's automation grows.
